Job summary

Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. in Genoa, Liguria, Italy is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to deliver expert technical support and maintenance at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

The role includes installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration, on-site training, and close collaboration with engineering, sales, and support teams. Travel and on-call rotations are required, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field as listed above.
• Minimum 5 years of proven field service engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and calibration to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Provide on-site technical training and guidance to customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support teams to resolve escalated issues.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
