Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Senior Networking Systems Engineer to act as the primary pre-sales technical advisor for the assigned territory, partnering with Territory Managers to craft and present networking solutions.

You will lead customer discovery sessions, translate business requirements into scalable architectures, and guide customers through the sales cycle—from discovery to implementation planning—delivering PoCs and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering/IT.
• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering with pre-sales or customer-facing experience.
• Strong enterprise networking expertise: routing/switching, wired/wireless, campus/branch, security, NAC, cloud-managed networking.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Territory Managers to identify, qualify, and advance sales opportunities.
• Design and recommend networking solutions that align with customer objectives.
• Lead customer discovery and translate business requirements into scalable networking architectures.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and PoC engagements.
• Develop solution proposals, technical documentation, and implementation recommendations.
• Position networking solutions against competitors with clear business value.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, services, and channel partners to deliver outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging networking innovations.
• Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle while supporting pipeline and revenue.
