Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Legal Senior Advisor - IP Counsel in Italy to lead intellectual property efforts across Energy Equipment. You will shape IP strategy, manage patent portfolios, negotiate technology terms, and partner with engineering, R&D, and commercial teams to protect innovation and drive business results.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in IP law, a law degree, and active European practice admission, with strong communication skills and the ability to operate in a global, fast-paced

Qualifications

• English at a C1 level or better.
• Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in intellectual property law.
• Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience working with technology in a technical field.
• Significant experience managing patent portfolios and advising on complex IP matters.
• Significant experience negotiating IP and technology-related contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implement IP strategies to support business and technology objectives.
• Advising business leadership on strategic IP opportunities, risks, and competitive considerations.
• Managing IP technology portfolio.
• IP Policy and Governance, developing, implementing, and maintaining IP policies, procedures, and best practices.
