Job summary

Baker Hughes in Italy seeks an Institutional Affairs Specialist to support developing and executing institutional affairs strategies with Italian national and local governments and EU representatives. You will collaborate with internal business functions and engage with external institutions.

The role requires experience in government or public policy, fluency in English and Italian, travel across Italy and Europe, and strong project management to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, International relations or Political sciences.
• Experience in government or public policy issues for another company, trade association or a government affairs firm.
• Strong ability to understand and communicate energy policy.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Availability to travel in Italy and Europe.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Client service attitude with proactive responsiveness and interpersonal awareness.
• Ability to work collaboratively and develop internal/external relationships.
• Master in geopolitics or energy policy is a plus.
• Oil & gas/energy industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the advocacy strategy for Baker Hughes, expanding advocacy with national/regional/local institutions and through stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare materials, briefings, coordinate institutional visits and Baker Hughes attendance at Government Affairs events.
• Liaise with government entities at national, regional and local levels, building relationships to promote company interests.
• Support business to increase penetration in the industrial sector by leveraging associations and relevant NGOs.
• Monitor and translate legislative developments into potential impact and opportunities for Baker Hughes strategy.
• Support the implementation of commercial diplomacy to boost Baker Hughes positioning in countries of interest.
