Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Intellectual Property Senior Advisor to provide global IP legal support for the Energy Equipment business. You will develop and execute IP strategies, manage portfolios, and negotiate licensing and technology-related contracts while collaborating with engineering, R&D, and executive teams.

The role requires a law degree, European licensure, and 7+ years PQE in IP law, with 5+ years of tech-focused experience.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited university and active admission to practice law in at least one European jurisdiction.
• Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in intellectual property law.
• Minimum 5 years of direct, hands-on experience working with technology in a technical, engineering, or scientific capacity.
• Significant experience managing patent portfolios and advising on complex intellectual property matters.
• Significant experience negotiating intellectual property and technology-related contract terms.
• Strong understanding of patents, trade secrets, copyrights, technology licensing, and related IP issues.
• Experience working with inventors, engineers, and business leaders in technology-driven organizations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
