Satispay in Milano is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Consumer domain to set the technical and organizational direction and empower millions of users in how they pay, manage money, and access credit.

Lead 3 teams (15–25 engineers) via Engineering Managers and a Staff Engineer, coach managers, translate product goals into a clear roadmap, collaborate with Product leadership, and ensure delivery quality with Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in backend engineering, with 4+ years managing engineers and managers.
• Empathy and coaching skills with a track record of developing teams.
• Strong distributed systems and API design for scalable services.
• Delivery ownership with Agile metrics to improve velocity and quality.
• Fluency in English for interaction with stakeholders and leadership.
• Genuine interest in fintech and regulated environments.

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow the Consumer domain with three teams (15–25 engineers) via Engineering Managers and Staff Engineer.
• Invest in coaching and development of reporting managers.
• Translate product and business goals into a clear technical roadmap across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with Product leadership and peers to align priorities and standards.
• Communicate progress, risks and blockers to senior leadership.
• Provide architectural guidance across PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Datadog.
