Satispay is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build and scale the backbone of our payment platform. You will own core domains, drive risk and fraud engines, and lead cross-team technical initiatives in a fintech setting.

You will mentor junior engineers, uphold high testing standards, and collaborate with product teams to deliver reliable, scalable services in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience: at least 5 years in back-end software engineering with microservices and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Technical depth: deep experience with Java and Spring Boot and distributed systems.
• Structured communication: clear, cross-team coordination of implementations.
• Impact mindset: deliver software aligning with evolving user needs and avoid paralysis.
• Language proficiency: fluent in English and passionate about FinTech.

Responsibilities

• Engineer core platform domains: design and evolve sensitive systems like Transaction Ledger, IAM, or Payment Orchestration for product teams.
• Scale risk & financial engines: optimize bank integrations, credit risk, and real-time fraud detection for a trusted source of truth.
• Cross-team technical leadership: drive analysis across services and produce high-quality Smart Papers for stakeholders.
• Foster engineering excellence: enforce rigorous testing and safe rollouts, promoting simplicity and maintainability.
• Mentor & develop: provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers to accelerate development cycles.
