Job summary

Satispay is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for the Consumer Wealth team in Milan to shape how users grow and manage their savings and investments. You will own backend systems, mentor peers, and push for technical excellence across Scala? Java and cloud-based microservices.

You will work with PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, AWS and other technologies, contributing to architecture and aligned delivery, in a hybrid work environment with strong fintech impact.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of back-end software engineering in product-based companies.
• Deep experience with Java (or other OO languages) and cloud platforms, AWS is a plus.
• Strong communication to build trust with stakeholders.
• Proven ability to mentor teammates and elevate engineering standards.
• Fluent in English and passionate about fintech.

Responsibilities

• Drive Technical Excellence by designing scalable, high-quality systems for savings and wealth features.
• Contribute to Architecture and ensure cross-product consistency within the Consumer Wealth domain.
• Collaborate across teams to drive alignment and timely delivery of features.
• Mentor and develop engineers, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Own your work end-to-end to help users grow their wealth using our tech stack (PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, AWS, microservices).
