Job summary

John Zink, part of Koch Engineered Solutions, seeks a Sales & Application Engineer to grow the Thermal Oxidiser aftermarket and revamp business across EMEA from Vimercate. You will blend commercial ownership with strong technical and application-engineering capabilities to translate customer needs into robust, cost-effective solutions.

You will interface with end users, EPCs, and engineering teams, leading technical proposals and supporting negotiations from initial contact through order

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Technical understanding of industrial combustion and/or process equipment.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, equipment drawings, process data and technical specifications.
• Experience developing technical proposals or engineered solutions for industrial customers.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both engineering and commercial audiences.
• Willingness to travel within EMEA for customer meetings and site activities.
• Good communication skills, self-motivation, determination, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong written and spoken English; fluency in Italian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Thermal Oxidiser aftermarket and revamp business across EMEA.
• Identify opportunities within the installed base for upgrades, modifications, debottlenecking and equipment replacement.
• Engage directly with end users, EPCs and other stakeholders to understand operational problems and investment requirements.
• Support regional Account Managers and Key Account Managers in developing customer strategies and opportunities.
• Perform customer visits, technical presentations and site discussions.
• Develop opportunities from initial customer engagement through quotation and commercial negotiation.
• Maintain opportunity information and sales activity in the CRM system.
