ABB Robotics Division Italy seeks a Senior Project Engineer to act as design authority for an engineering discipline. You will lead multi-project assignments, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards.

You will collaborate with customers to shape solutions, develop work plans and cost estimates, and coordinate manufacturing, testing, and commissioning activities across projects.

Competenze

• Engineering degree in Mechanics, Electrical or related field.
• Master in Robotics preferred.
• Around 5 years of experience in automation systems.
• Leadership, autonomous work style and stakeholder management.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Mansioni

• Shape and deliver engineering solutions with customer feedback to drive improvements.
• Create work plans and cost estimates for project portfolios, ensuring quality and timely delivery within cost targets.

This Position Reports To

Senior Project Engineer

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. This role is contributing to the ABB Robotics Division in Italy.

The Work Model For The Role Is

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled working with relevant tools and methodologies, Robotics Automation and AI market
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanics, Electrical or related field) and Master in Robotics as a preferred experience
• You have 5 years of experience in Automation systems.
• You are someone with leadership skills, able to work autonomously in diverse projects, stakeholder management, organization and planning.
• You are at ease communicating in English and Italian

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: €48.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
