ABB, a global robotics leader in Lombardy, Italy, seeks an experienced engineer to plan and execute proactive promotional activities that generate demand for ABB products and solutions. You will identify sales opportunities, present ABB tools, and educate customers while building lasting relationships across Mechanical, Software, and Project teams.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and automation, with proficiency in RobotStudio, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, PLC

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, automation systems and simulation environments.
• Strong knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical and PLC platforms.
• Experience with digital twin technologies and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication in Italian and English.

This Position Reports To

Senior Engineering Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and implement proactive promotional activities for the assigned target audience to create market demand and need for specific features or products. Each day, you will identify and develop sales opportunities by introducing, presenting, and educating the target audience about ABB products and tools. You will also showcase your expertise by building long‑term customer relationships.

The Work Model For The Role Is

This role is contributing to the Robotics Automation Division (RA) - Robotics Operations in Italy.

Main stakeholders are Mechanical Engineering Team, Software & Controls Engineering, Proposal Engineering, Project Management, Customers, Global Engineering Community.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Implementing proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for the customer target group.
• Creating plans for target audience visits and conducting regular status reviews, including analyzing and deriving the insights and output of the visits.
• Establishing and maintaining effective long‑term relationships with target group customers to understand their needs and to ensure they are well‑informed of the ABB product, systems, services offering, features, and benefits.
• Ensuring efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques.

Qualifications For The Role

• You are highly skilled in electrical engineering, industrial automation, virtual commissioning and 3D simulation technologies within the robotics and automation market.
• You have 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, automation systems and simulation environments.
• Possess advanced knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, PLC platforms and digital twin technologies.
• You are passionate about innovation, customer focus, problem solving and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.
• Availability for business travel when required.

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: €39.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
