ABB's Robotics business in Italy seeks a Sales Support and Proposal Engineer to assist the Sales organization and customers during the proposal process. You will serve as a key technical resource, prepare technical descriptions, determine costs, and compile final documentation.

The role offers hybrid work, collaboration with global teams, travel for occasional customer visits, and the chance to contribute to profitable growth across ABB's robotics product groups in Italy.

Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Robotics Automation Division- Robotics Operations in Italy.Main stakeholders are Sales Organization, Customers, Proposal & Engineering Team, Project Management, Product Management, Global Business Units and FactoriesYou will be mainly accountable for:Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; and ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.Qualifications for the roleYou are highly skilled in technical-commercial proposal development, cost estimation and solution definition for the industrial robotics and automation market.You have 3-5 years of experience in sales support, proposal engineering, application engineering or industrial automation.Possess an enhanced knowledge of ABB RobotStudio, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools and costing methodologies.You are passionate about customer focus, negotiation, teamwork and problem solving.Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent technical background.You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.Availability for occasional customer visits and business travel.Compensation PackageAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:Applicable CBA: MetalmeccanicoMinimum annual salary: €39.000Variable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity BonusThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.Benefits as per policyFlexible working hours, hybrid work options, and a strong focus on work-life integration and Wellbeing support for employees and their familiesWelfare plan with a wide range of personalized servicesCanteen or meal vouchers providedJoin us.
