Job summary

Alstom is hiring a role supporting the Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and digital transformation across depots and business units in Italy. The candidate will manage KPIs, standardize processes, and coordinate cross-functional teams to improve availability, reliability, safety, and quality of rail operations.

Requirements include 5+ years in railway engineering or production/maintenance management, strong IT/data analysis skills (PowerBI/PowerApps/Excel), and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Railway domain expertise with 5+ years in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Experience in maintenance or production management in the railway industry or similar (+5 years).
• Proven project management and industrial management capabilities.
• IT skills for data analysis and digital tools (PowerBI/PowerApps/Excel).
• Fluent professional English is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive Operational Excellence & digital transformation across depots and BU.
• Monitor performance with KPI management and data-driven decisions.
• Standardize processes, systems and tools including ERP and reporting practices.
• Manage stakeholder, supplier & customer relationships and coordinate reviews.
• Support bid/tender activities and cost optimization for profitable growth.
• Lead cross-functional coordination and governance across teams.
• Facilitate problem solving and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively at all levels and support people development.
