Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Process Engineer for our Gorle site in Italy. You will drive successful execution of ETO Rotary Orders and lead continuous improvement efforts with Design, Operations, and Customer teams.

The role requires 3+ years of process engineering experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage customer and supplier discussions throughout project lifecycles.

Competenze

  • Experience with industrial machinery, project management, and engineering documentation workflows.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting equipment specifications and design documents.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • SAP/WinChill knowledge is a plus.

Job Summary

In this tenured role, which requires you to pull on the knowledge of the product and business you have gained along your career path, the Process Engineer is responsible for successful execution of Ingersoll Rand ETO Rotary Orders and continuous improvement opportunities to elevate the team, the business, and themselves. The Process Engineer will ensure project requirements are met throughout the life of customer orders and improvement project. The Process Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and other members of the Design teams along with the Operations and Manufacturing teams for cross‑functional success and customer satisfaction. He/She will attend internal and external (customers, vendors, and packagers), manage customer communications, and work with Design Engineering, customers and suppliers on scope via technical discussions. Continuous improvement is a cornerstone of Ingersoll Rand Engineering. An ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of process engineering experience and lead technical conversations with customers and internal teams. The Process Engineering role is highly valued and sought after within the organization; it is the customer satisfier, a tenured technical touch point and an effective liaison across all parties required to work together throughout complex projects.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting engineering functions, e.g., Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering.
  • Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code, and standards.
  • Perform mental tasks such as prioritizing work to align with business objectives, and exercising good judgment.
  • Demonstrate ability to cope with stress, change and pressure while maintaining a pleasant and cooperative manner.
Qualifications
  • Competency in industrial machinery, general project management, industrial equipment specifications, and documentation workflows.
  • Basic familiarity with the major subsystems. The incumbent may be asked to give assistance in completing a proposal, help troubleshoot problems in the field or communicate a topic involving this content to the customer.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with co‑workers, suppliers, and customers are essential.
  • Personal computer literacy and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential. SAP/Winchill knowledge is a plus.
  • Education: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other engineering discipline such as chemical, aeronautic, etc. are considered. No graduate profile will be evaluated if they have enough experience in a similar role.
  • Experience: Relevant experience specific to oil & gas industry.
  • Demeanor: Self‑motivated, responsible, clear communication skills, detail‑oriented and personable.

Basic Qualifications
  • Preferably some type of technical education, either intermediate or higher level (preferably in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical, or High school Diploma).
  • Languages: English level B2.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High degree of autonomy, while also capable of working in multidisciplinary teams.
