Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Principal Engineer based in Italy to shape the architecture of a large-scale Merchant Experience platform and step into an Architect-level role that blends hands-on coding with strategic design.

You will own the technical direction for the pillar, influence multiple teams, mentor engineers, and champion Domain‑Driven Design while building scalable, distributed, cloud‑native solutions across global teams.

Competenze

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in senior technical roles.
• DDD applied to microservices and complex domains.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Excellent English communication with the ability to influence across teams.
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.

Mansioni

• Own the technical direction, architecture, and solution design within the Merchant Experience pillar.
• Make architectural decisions and review docs to ensure alignment with platform strategy and standards.
• Contribute to engineering strategy and standards through architecture initiatives.
• Support teams during implementation with proofs of concept and clarifying decisions.
• Address performance, scalability, integrations, and other architecture challenges.
• Mentor engineers on architecture, design techniques, and coding standards.
• Establish cohesive architecture practices, guardrails, and adoption across teams.
• Act as SME for Domain-Driven Design and promote high-quality solutions.
