Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks an Engineering Manager based in Italy to lead the engineering team responsible for the core capabilities of a global SaaS platform. You will own technical direction and delivery, modernizing systems that support critical client workflows.

A major focus is bringing AI-powered, agentic workflows into the product, enabling systems to plan, execute, and adapt testing activities. You’ll remain hands-on 20–30% of the time.

Competenze

• 5+ years of engineering management experience in agile, remote environments.
• Hands-on experience writing production code and evolving production systems.
• Ability to make architectural decisions and unblock complex technical challenges.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic features in production.
• Strong technical affinity with TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and React.
• Familiarity with GraphQL or Kafka is a plus.
• Experience with observability tools (New Relic, Datadog, Sentry).
• Knowledge of security best practices in the SDLC.
• Proven track record modernizing legacy platforms while maintaining reliability.
• Excellent written and spoken English with cross-functional collaboration.

• Own the technical direction, architecture, and delivery roadmap for core platform domains.
• Design and deliver agentic AI workflows enabling planning, execution, and adaptation of testing activities.
• Remain hands-on 20–30% of the time for production code, reviews, and complex design work.
• Modernize legacy systems, consolidate data models, and reduce technical debt without impacting production.
• Establish engineering practices around planning, design reviews, and delivery quality.
• Own production support and incident triage to reduce recurring issues.
• Define and monitor SLOs, metrics, dashboards, and observability practices.
• Maintain strong engineering standards and secure cloud usage.
• Introduce AI-assisted development into everyday workflows and encourage cross-team collaboration.
• Partner with Product/AI/ML to translate strategy into a technical roadmap.
