Lexroom.ai in Milan, Italy is seeking a People Operations Team Lead to own global People Operations across all countries we operate in. This hybrid role combines payroll management, HRIS governance, and employee lifecycle administration with a focus on automation and data quality.

You will build scalable processes, lead a small team of specialists, and partner with Finance to ensure compliant, timely payroll close.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in HR or People Operations, owning end‑to‑end processes including the Italian employment framework.
• Hands‑on experience running payroll through external providers: month‑end close, controls, reconciliations and provider management.
• Experience owning an HRIS and connecting it to payroll (HiBob with JetHR, PayFit, Deel).
• A track record of automating HR processes, with concrete AI use cases you can walk us through.
• Fluent Italian and English.

• Own our HRIS (HiBob) as our single source of truth, and its connection to payroll in every country.
• Run the employee lifecycle, benefits and ESOP administration across all markets we operate in.
• Keep each country compliant: map risks, decide what to fix first and track to closure.
• Design processes and data with measurement in mind, and use AI to remove manual work.
• Lead and grow the team.

The role

You’ll own how People Operations runs in every country we operate in, today and as we expand. That means payroll closes under control, data we can trust, and processes nobody has to chase.

You’ll report to our Head of People and lead a team of People Ops Specialists, with an Ops Specialist supporting you on the technical side of our tools.

What you’ll do

What we offer

• Salary: €55,000–65,000 gross per year

• Hybrid work: at least three days a week in our Milan HQ, with flexibility
