Orthopedic Area Sales Manager - Southern Italy

Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across Southern Italy in orthopaedics. You will work with surgeons, theatre teams and hospital stakeholders to expand market share and support a leading hip and knee reconstruction portfolio.

Responsibilities include managing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, delivering demonstrations and training, and collaborating with clinical, marketing and leadership teams to hit regional sales targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience selling or supporting hip and knee orthopaedic implants.
• Current orthopaedic experience within the last 12 months.
• Strong knowledge of hip and knee arthroplasty and joint reconstruction.
• Proven ability to develop relationships with surgeons and hospital customers.
• Experience supporting procedures in operating theatres.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Self-motivated with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Southern Italy.
• Fluent Italian and good English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing accounts across Southern Italy within the hip and knee arthroplasty market.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within public and private hospitals.
• Provide clinical support to surgeons and theatre teams during orthopaedic procedures.
• Deliver product demonstrations, educational programmes and product training sessions.
• Develop strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, procurement teams and hospital decision-makers.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to drive territory growth.
• Deliver a high level of customer service and strategic account management.
• Collaborate closely with clinical, marketing and leadership teams to achieve regional sales objectives.
