Mercor is seeking a meticulous Odia-language annotator to build richly structured, fully transcribed Odia documents from public PDF sources. You will identify, bound and label page regions, preserve exact Odia text, and ensure faithful transcription even in complex layouts.

Focused on accurate reading order and cross-reference relationships, you will contribute to a diverse Odia dataset used for training document AI systems.

Competenze

• Native Odia speaker with full command of Odia script, diacritics and conjunct forms.
• Experience with annotation, transcription, localization, proofreading, or related documentation tasks.
• Must be exact, with character-level accuracy.

Mansioni

• Source publicly accessible Odia PDFs including multimodal elements.
• Annotate page structure: bound regions and assign types and reading-order indices.
• Record relationships by linking regions to corresponding figures/tables.
• Transcribe faithfully in Odia script, flag non-legible regions.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, table/form/handwriting flags.
• Review colleague's work through end-to-end review by a second Odia expert.
