Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking an O&M Technician to ensure operation, maintenance, and reliability of our solar PV plants in Italy. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and maintain documentation while traveling to multiple plant locations.

The role requires 1–2 years in PV maintenance, an electrical engineering background, and Italian/HSE knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of solar PV plants.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Italian HSE legislation and safety procedures.
• Fluent Italian and basic English; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on solar PV plants.

We are looking for an O&M Technician to join our M Renewables team in Italy, part of our subsidiary METKA EGN.The role is focused on day-to-day technical activities to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and reliability of our solar PV plants.

Your role will encompass:

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities on solar PV plants.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, escalating complex faults when needed.
• Monitor basic plant performance indicators and ensure compliance with internal procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs and technical reports; support the update of server files and backups.
• Support spare parts handling and assist external contractors during onsite interventions.
• Use and update the CMMS and other internal tools according to company procedures.
• Work remotely as required and travel regularly to various solar plant locations.

What you bring to the role:

• 1–2 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of solar PV plants or relevant electrical/industrial experience.
• Basic understanding of PV systems, including string inverters, trackers, MV/LV equipment, and monitoring systems.
• Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• Knowledge of Italian HSE legislation and willingness to follow company safety procedures.
• Fluent Italian and basic English.
• Valid driver’s license and availability to travel.

Compensation & Contractual Framework

The starting gross annual salary (RAL) for this position is 27.500€, based on objective and gender-neutral criteria.
Applicable CCNL: MetalmeccanicoCNA Level / Inquadramento: B1

The final compensation may reflect the candidate’s relevant experience and competencies, in line with the Company’s remuneration framework.
