Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking an O&M Technician to ensure operation, maintenance, and reliability of our solar PV plants in Italy. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and maintain documentation while traveling to multiple plant locations.

The role requires 1–2 years in PV maintenance, an electrical engineering background, and Italian/HSE knowledge.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of solar PV plants.
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of Italian HSE legislation and safety procedures.
Fluent Italian and basic English; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on solar PV plants.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
Monitor basic plant performance indicators and ensure safety compliance.
Maintain maintenance logs and technical reports; support updates of server files and backups.
Support spare parts handling and assist external contractors during onsite interventions.
Use and update CMMS and other internal tools according to procedures.
Work remotely as required and travel regularly to solar plant locations.
