Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is looking for an O&M Technician to join our M Renewables team in Italy, focusing on daily operation, maintenance and reliability of our solar PV plants.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, assist in troubleshooting, monitor basic plant performance, and document maintenance logs; support external contractors during onsite interventions and travel to multiple plant locations.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of solar PV plants or related electrical/industrial fields.
Basic understanding of PV systems, including string inverters, trackers, MV/LV equipment and monitoring systems.
Hands-on electrical work experience.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities on solar PV plants.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and escalate complex faults as needed.
Monitor basic plant performance indicators and ensure compliance with safety and internal procedures.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical reports; update server files and backups.
Support spare parts handling and assist external contractors during onsite interventions.
Use and update the CMMS and other internal tools following company procedures.
Work remotely as required and travel regularly to various solar plant locations.

Job Description O&M Technician 05/10/2026 Job Description:

We are looking for an O&M Technician to join our M Renewables team in Italy, part of our subsidiary METKA EGN.The role is focused on day-to-day technical activities to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and reliability of our solar PV plants.

Your role will encompass:

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities on solar PV plants.

Maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs and technical reports; support the update of server files and backups.
Support spare parts handling and assist external contractors during onsite interventions.
Use and update the CMMS and other internal tools according to company procedures.
Work remotely as required and travel regularly to various solar plant locations.

What you bring to the role:

1–2 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting of solar PV plants or relevant electrical/industrial experience.
Basic understanding of PV systems, including string inverters, trackers, MV/LV equipment, and monitoring systems.
Hands-on experience in general electrical works.
Technical Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
Knowledge of Italian HSE legislation and willingness to follow company safety procedures.
Fluent Italian and basic English.
Valid driver’s license and availability to travel.

Compensation & Contractual Framework

The starting gross annual salary (RAL) for this position is 27.500€, based on objective and gender-neutral criteria.

Applicable CCNL: MetalmeccanicoCNA Level / Inquadramento: B1

The final compensation may reflect the candidate’s relevant experience and competencies, in line with the Company’s remuneration framework.
