Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals in Milan, Italy, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering team handling PV, BESS and Datacenter projects.

You will review SLDs, ensure compliance with Italian grid regulations, and coordinate with management and external suppliers to define scopes and budgets.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 3+ years in PV/BESS, English proficiency, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering field.
• Electrical licensing is desirable.
• 3+ years of experience in PV, BESS, MV-HV electrical installations.
• Experience with international clients and Solar market.

Responsibilities

• Involve in all development stages of PV, BESS and Datacenter projects.
• Review SLDs and Design according to Italian grid regulations.
• Coordinate with project management on engineering annexes and budgets.
• Coordinate external engineering companies and define external supplier scope.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with preventive actions.
• Be main Technical interface with Customers and define equipment specs.

We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineerto join ourEngineeringteam in our subsidiary in Milan, Italy.

Your role will encompass:

• Involvement in all development stages of PV, BESS and Datacenter projects
• Reviewing SLDs and Design according to Italian grid regulations and normatives
• Liaising with the project management team in contract finalization of the engineering/technical annexes
• Coordinate external engineering companies
• Coordinate and define scope of work for external suppliers
• Identifying the sources of potential problems, proactively taking preventive measures to avoid any project risks as well as determining response actions to mitigate any negative impact
• Assisting with drafting the scope of work and estimating the respective project budgets for PV and BESS projects
• Be the main Technical interface with Customers
• Define equipment specifications and participate in technical review of suppliers’ offers

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or other relevant engineering fields
• Electrical Licensing is desirable
• Professional experience with international clients and projects in the Solar Market is desirable
• At least 3+ years experience in PV, BESS, MV-HV electrical installations
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Working knowledge of Autocad, PVSyst, Electrical Design
• Fluency in English is essential
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure

Compensation & Contractual Framework

The starting gross annual salary (RAL) for this position is €48,200, based on objective and gender-neutral criteria.

The final compensation may reflect the candidate’s relevant experience and competencies, in line with the Company’s remuneration framework.
