Hitachi Rail S.p.A. in Milan seeks a Materials Management Technician to support a fast-paced environment across administration to strategy. The role focuses on planning, purchasing, and supplier coordination to ensure timely project materials and costs align with contractual requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years in supply chain, strong project and supplier management skills, and a degree in Management Engineering. English proficiency (B2) is preferred.

• Issue an estimate of total external costs for highly complex tenders.
• Plan and forecast external costs (materials, services, packages, subcontractors) during the project execution phase.
• Provide all supply chain inputs necessary to define and issue the integrated project plan.
• Issue and distribute planning and logistics documents to project teams.
• Coordinate planning and logistics activities between legal entities involved in the project for timely delivery of materials.
• Manage production launch activities in line with project planning.
• Issue purchase requests for materials, services, packages, and subcontractors.
• Ensure issuance of supplier logistics and procurement documentation.
• Monitor and report supplier performance and logistics to ensure contractual compliance.
