Hitachi Rail is seeking a Materials Management Technician to thrive in a fast-paced environment in Milan, Italy. The role covers a wide range from administration to strategic planning, aligned with the project’s procurement and logistics needs.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in supply chain, strong planning skills, and proficiency in MPS-MRP methods. The position offers a competitive gross annual salary and a structured Italian contract under CCNL metalmeccanica privata.

Mansioni

• Estimate total external costs for highly complex tenders.
• Plan and forecast external costs during project execution in collaboration with cost control office.
• Provide all supply chain inputs necessary to define and issue the integrated project plan.
• Issue and distribute planning and logistics documents to project teams.
• Coordinate planning and logistics activities between legal entities involved in the project to ensure delivery of project materials.
• Manage production launch activities in line with project planning.
• Issue purchase requests for materials, external services, packages, and subcontractors.
• Ensure issuance of supplier logistics and supply planning documentation in line with contractual requirements.
• Monitor and report supplier performance (logistics, FAT, delivery times, warehouse management)
• Identify and implement mitigation actions for risks or misalignments with supplier performance.
