Alpitronic in Bolzano, Italy, seeks a Manager of System Testing & Certification to lead a team of test engineers. You will drive the strategy for validation, qualification, and certification across the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with IEC, ISO, UL, and related standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, labs, and regulatory bodies to deliver robust, data-driven validation and certification evidence, while developing team capabilities and optimizing resources.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in testing, validation, qualification, and certification environments.
• Experience within power electronics, EV charging infrastructure, automotive, or similarly regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience with V-Model-based product development.
• Strong knowledge of validation methodologies, DVP&R development, qualification testing, and certification processes.
• Deep understanding of IEC, ISO, UL, EMC, Electrical Safety, Environmental and Reliability Testing
• Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment and automated testing environments
• Project and stakeholder management capabilities
• Analytical thinking, problem solving, and technical decision making
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple development programs
• Fluent in English; German and/or Italian are a plus

• Define and drive the overall System Testing & Certification strategy aligned with product requirements and the R&D roadmap.
• Lead planning and execution of system validation, qualification, and certification activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Define and manage Validation Plans (DVP&R), Type Tests, Qualification Programs, and Certification Plans per standards (IEC, ISO, UL).
• Ensure full traceability between requirements, validation activities, results, issues, and certification evidence.
• Develop risk-based validation strategies balancing coverage, lab utilization, compliance, and time-to-market.
• Drive issue resolution during validation, including root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, external laboratories, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.

• Ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of validation reports, certification documentation, and compliance evidence.
• Lead, coach, and develop the assigned Testing & Certification team while optimizing resources and priorities.

As Manager System Testing & Certification, you will lead a team of test engineers responsible for validating, qualifying, and certifying new products before market release. Your mission is to ensure product compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements through robust, efficient, and risk-based testing and certification activities.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and drive the overall System Testing & Certification strategy aligned with product requirements and the R&D roadmap

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Hands‑on experience working in V-Model-based product development environments
• Strong knowledge of validation methodologies, DVP&R development, qualification testing, and certification processes
• Deep understanding of international standards and regulatory frameworks (IEC, ISO, UL, EMC, Electrical Safety, Environmental and Reliability Testing)
• Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment, automated testing environments, and data-driven validation approaches
• Project and stakeholder management capabilities
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and technical decision‑making skills
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage priorities across multiple development programs
• Fluent in English; German and/or Italian are a plus
