Alpitronic, Bolzano, Italy, seeks a Manager of System Testing & Certification to lead a team of test engineers responsible for validating and certifying new products before market release.

The role focuses on defining strategy, coordinating validations across the product lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with international standards in a fast-evolving e-mobility environment.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Proven leadership in testing, validation, and certification.
• Experience in power electronics, EV charging infrastructure or similar regulated industries.
• Hands-on experience with V-Model based development.
• Strong knowledge of validation methodologies, DVP&R, qualification testing and certification processes.
• Deep understanding of IEC, ISO, UL, EMC, Electrical Safety, Environmental and Reliability Testing standards.
• Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment, automated testing environments, and data-driven validation.
• Project and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Fluent in English; German and/or Italian are a plus.

• Define and drive the overall System Testing & Certification strategy aligned with product requirements and the R&D roadmap.
• Lead the planning and execution of system validation, qualification, and certification activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Define and manage Validation Plans, Type Tests, Qualification Programs, and Certification Plans per applicable standards (IEC, ISO, UL).
• Ensure traceability between requirements, validation results, issues, and certification evidence.
• Develop risk-based validation strategies balancing coverage, lab utilization, and time-to-market.
• Drive issue resolution during validation including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, external laboratories, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.
• Promote advanced testing methodologies, laboratory technologies, automation, and data-driven validation approaches.
• Ensure quality and completeness of validation reports, certification documentation, and compliance evidence.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Testing & Certification team while optimizing resources and priorities.

As Manager System Testing & Certification, you will lead a team of test engineers responsible for validating, qualifying, and certifying new products before market release. Your mission is to ensure product compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements through robust, efficient, and risk-based testing and certification activities.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and drive the overall System Testing & Certification strategy aligned with product requirements and the R&D roadmap
• Lead the planning and execution of system validation, qualification, and certification activities throughout the product development lifecycle
• Define and manage Validation Plans (DVP&R), Type Tests, Qualification Programs, and Certification Plans in compliance with applicable standards (e.g. IEC, ISO, UL)
• Ensure full traceability between product requirements, validation activities, test results, identified issues, and certification evidence
• Develop risk-based validation strategies balancing coverage, laboratory utilization, compliance requirements, and time-to-market
• Drive issue resolution during validation, including root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
• Proven leadership experience in testing, validation, qualification, and certification environments
• Experience within power electronics, EV charging infrastructure, automotive, or similarly regulated industries
• Hands-on experience working in V-Model-based product development environments
• Strong knowledge of validation methodologies, DVP&R development, qualification testing, and certification processes
• Deep understanding of international standards and regulatory frameworks (IEC, ISO, UL, EMC, Electrical Safety, Environmental and Reliability Testing)
• Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment, automated testing environments, and data-driven validation approaches
• Project and stakeholder management capabilities
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage priorities across multiple development programs
• Fluent in English; German and/or Italian are a plus

• Total compensation starting from € 74,000 gross per year, including a 30% variable bonus based on goal achievement
