Job summary

Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Collection in Florence, Italy, seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the luxury housekeeping team and uphold the highest cleanliness and presentation standards across rooms and public areas.

You will coordinate daily activities, supervise staff, and ensure seamless collaboration with Front Office and maintenance to deliver the Auberge experience. The role is seasonal and full-time, with a €28,000 gross annual salary (14 months).

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team while maintaining high standards of service.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Housekeeping team in the daily execution of their responsibilities, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented environment.
• Assign daily tasks and room allocations, ensuring priorities are clearly communicated and operational needs are met.
• Support onboarding and development of new team members, sharing best practices and encouraging continuous improvement.
• Promote a positive team culture built on respect, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance meet the property's standards.
• Verify room readiness and coordinate priorities with Front Office to support smooth arrivals and departures.
• Ensure amenities, linen, supplies, and in-room details are presented accurately and consistently.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, following up with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including room assignments, turndown service, and special guest requests.
• Maintain clear communication with Front Office, Maintenance, Laundry, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Monitor the availability and appropriate use of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment.
• Support the management of lost and found items in accordance with property procedures.
• Ensure compliance with established cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Verify that cleaning products and equipment are used, stored, and handled correctly.
• Support responsible use of resources, promoting care for linen, amenities, and supplies.
• Report any safety concerns, damages, or irregularities promptly and ensure appropriate follow-up.
