Job summary

Astier de Villatte is a French luxury brand renowned for its ceramics, candles and homeware, offering a curated retail experience across standalone stores and select retailers.

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in daily operations, lead the team on the shop floor, drive sales, oversee stock, and ensure exceptional client service aligned with the Maison's standards.

Qualifications

• 12 months minimum of professional experience in retail, ideally in luxury.
• Fluent in Italian and English; mastery of a third language is appreciated.
• Affinity for decoration, design and high-end products.
• Impeccable presentation.
• Good humour and open-mindedness.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an active presence on the shop floor and contributing to sales growth.
• Welcoming, advising and building loyalty with a discerning clientele.
• Representing the Astier de Villatte brand image and upholding the Maison’s standards.
• Assisting with customer disputes and specific payment transactions.
• Ensuring the quality of the sales approach and sharing product knowledge.
• Proactively suggesting ways to improve the customer experience and boutique performance.
• Supporting and motivating the team on a daily basis.
• Coaching the team to increase average transaction value and drive complementary sales.
• Assisting with staff scheduling and task allocation.
• Supporting and training new team members.
