Job summary

Translated is seeking a Localization Quality Manager to lead quality initiatives across human and machine translation for multiple clients. You will define quality requirements, train linguists, and monitor MT outputs to ensure top-tier deliverables while collaborating with data scientists and client teams.

The role blends hands-on program development with strategic thinking in a flexible remote setup, with periodic presence at our Rome HQ.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in localization quality management.
• Excellent knowledge of English; another language preferred.
• Excellent computer and web skills.
• Experience with MT quality estimation and best practices.
• Proven analytical skills with data-driven improvement plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Define quality requirements and frameworks for assigned clients, for human and MT workflows.
• Develop client-specific training and testing programs; guide freelancers to meet quality standards.
• Manage linguistic assets including MT, memory, glossaries, and style guides.
• Oversee teams of linguists and leads; monitor performance for consistent high-quality outcomes.
• Analyze quality using data-driven metrics and derive actionable insights for improvement.
• Serve as primary QM contact with clients; present quality data and improvement plans in reviews.
• Collaborate with PgM, PjM, AM, and Data Science to ensure smooth cross-team workflows.
