Job summary

Acclaro combines language expertise with AI technology to support global brands in localization. We are seeking a native Italian-speaking linguist for a long-term collaboration on IT/software localization projects.

You will perform MTPE of Italian content, occasionally translate when needed, and review material to ensure linguistic accuracy, fluency, consistency, and naturalness. Work proceeds under project-specific guidelines and terminology, with flexible project-based cooperation.

Qualifications

• Native Italian proficiency required.
• 3+ years as linguist/translator/MTPE.
• Experience in IT/software localization.
• Excellent Italian grammar, style and terminology.
• Detail-oriented with consistency across large content.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows desirable.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a native Italian-speaking linguist to join our team for a long-term collaboration on international localization projects.

What you’ll do

• Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) of Italian content.
• Occasionally provide human translation when required.
• Review and edit translated content to ensure linguistic accuracy, fluency, consistency, and naturalness .
• Work on IT and software-related content, following project-specific guidelines and terminology.

Requirements

• Native-level Italian proficiency.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a linguist, translator, or MTPE specialist.
• Proven experience in IT/software localization.
• Excellent command of Italian grammar, style, and terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across large volumes of content.
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is highly desirable.
