Job summary

Excis is seeking a proactive L2 Desktop Engineer to provide second-level local and remote desktop support for a client in Italy. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install and configure workstations, and manage tickets to meet SLAs.

This role requires 1 year of desktop support experience, solid Windows and MS Office knowledge, basic networking, and full onsite availability in Italy. Fluency in Italian (C1) and English (B2) is expected, with immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk environments at L1/L2.
Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems and MS Office applications.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Local language proficiency at C1 level or higher and English at B2 level or higher (certified).
Valid and unrestricted work authorization for Italy; visa sponsorship not provided.
Onsite availability: 100% onsite at the designated client location in Italy.
Immediate availability preferred, or within 2 weeks.

Responsibilities

Provide second-level desktop support remotely and onsite.
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
Manage service tickets within SLAs, with prioritization and escalation when needed.
Install, configure, and maintain workstations and end-user devices.
Support system updates, security patches, and basic infrastructure-related tasks.
Document troubleshooting steps and contribute to the knowledge base.
Identify and escalate complex issues to L3 with detailed information.
