Job summary

AVASO Technology in Florence, Italy is seeking an experienced Onsite Support Engineer for a part-time contract. You will provide on-site and remote desktop support, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and install and maintain desktops and peripherals.

The role requires 4+ years in desktop support, experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux, and strong AD and ITIL knowledge. Strong communication in English and Italian is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Desktop Support or similar roles.
• Solid experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
• Experience with Active Directory for user mgmt, group policies and security.
• Proficient with remote desktop tools and troubleshooting methods.
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP; MS Office Suite proficiency.
• Hardware diagnostics, repair, replacements, and imaging/deployment tools.
• ITIL processes for incident, problem, change management.
• Clear communication to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote desktop support for users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals.
• Deploy operating systems, updates, and software packages.
• Collaborate with IT team to resolve issues and escalate as needed.
• Issue routine system audits and ensure security and update status.
• Provide end-user training and maintain documentation.
• Manage support tickets for internal stakeholders.
