Job summary

ABB, a leading robotics company, seeks an Order Handling Specialist in Lombardy. You will verify orders, create sales orders, manage customer data, and monitor deliveries, ensuring timely responses and quality service for internal and external customers.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to maintain data integrity across systems and contribute to a positive customer experience in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics or Foreign Languages required.
• Proficiency with Office suite is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Good written and spoken English and Italian.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders received from customers and communicate with factories about requests.
• Create and manage sales orders.
• Perform master data management for customers via internal portal.
• Monitor order status, deliveries, and delays; follow up as needed.
• Resolve inquiries and escalate when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.

This Position Reports To

Order Handling Specialist

Your Role And Responsibilities

You will be responsible to provide order and payment-related assistance/support to the internal and external customers. You will coordinate with relevant stakeholders to obtain complete case ownership and to improve customer satisfaction. You will also manage customer master data activities, guaranteeing accuracy, consistency, and timely updates across systems.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

• Verification of Orders received from our customers, control of order confirmations received from factories and communication with them regarding possible requests.
• Creation and management of sales orders
• Master data management of our customers through our internal portal.
• Monitoring the status of orders, management and verification of deliveries and follow up of delays.
• Ensuring that inquiries are resolved and providing assistance in any necessary escalation.
• Ensuring a positive customer experience.

Qualifications For The Role

• Education: a Degree in Economics or Foreign Languages.
• Technical Skills: knowledge of Office suite is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• Languages: a good knowledge of English and Italian.
• Soft Skills: a collaborative, proactive and solution-focused approach, and good written and spoken communication skills.
