Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Technical Project Engineer to support the European Equipment Sales strategy for the South Europe region. This role is hands-on, field-oriented, and manages complex industrial water treatment projects from concept through commissioning.

The candidate will work in a hybrid North Italy setting with regular travel, collaborating with Engineering, Procurement, and Service teams to deliver safe, efficient solutions that meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Technical Engineering with water treatment experience.
• 1–2 years in Electrical & Automation or 2–4 years in water treatment as Mechanical Engineer.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Willingness to travel ~50% within Italy.
• Valid driving license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering in early project opportunities, clarify scope, and assess risks.
• Conduct onsite surveys, basic design, and system concept development.
• Define project schedules, execution timelines, and staffing needs.
• Prepare technical specifications and collaborate with Procurement.
• Monitor progress, review specs, and coordinate with teams.
• Lead installation, start-up, commissioning, and final sign-off.
• Provide technical assistance on OEM contracts and diagnostics.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure alignment with standards.
• Support continuous improvement in Operations & Maintenance contracts.
