Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Field Service Engineer & Technical Support Specialist to support customers in North Italy and across South Europe, with a hybrid work arrangement based in Northern Italy. You will manage installations, troubleshooting, and service proposals, travelling regularly to customer sites and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree, 3–7 years of field service experience, and strong electromechanical and automation skills.

Qualifications

Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Automation/Industrial Maintenance or related field.
3–7 years of experience in Field Service, Technical Support, Maintenance Engineering, or Equipment Service in industrial environments.
Strong electromechanical troubleshooting including electrical systems, motors, pumps, dosing equipment, instrumentation, and process equipment.
Experience in Water Treatment, Food & Beverage, Utilities, Process Industry, or related sectors.
Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and other technical documentation.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
Fluency in Italian and good command of English.
Willingness to travel approximately 50–60% within Italy.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, start‑up, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on industrial water treatment equipment and dosing systems at customer sites.
Provide technical support and diagnostics remotely and on-site to resolve issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and recommend improvements for reliability and performance.
Support customers in Food & Beverage and Industrial Water Treatment applications.
Prepare technical and commercial quotations for equipment, spare parts, service interventions, maintenance contracts, and system upgrades.
Coordinate service activities with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely execution.
