Job summary

Couchbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced Solution Engineer to drive technical engagements with customers, mapping challenges to Couchbase capabilities and building compelling, business-value driven demonstrations.

The role requires hands-on software development experience, cloud proficiency, and a proven ability to articulate complex solutions to executives. You will work with customers from initial discovery through PoC, collaborating with Sales and Product teams to deliver value and drive

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a Pre-Sales/Customer-Facing/Consulting Role
• 3+ years of experience in software development or related industries
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases or other distributed high-performance systems
• Excellent presentation skills with ability to explain technical solutions concisely to all levels
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience designing solutions on major database platforms including data modeling, indexes and query optimization

Responsibilities

• Operate in a consultative process with customers to define challenges and opportunities.
• Map challenges to Couchbase Ecosystem by presenting differentiating business value.
• Educate and become a trusted advisor, delivering value to prospects and customers.
• Present art of the possible and think outside the box to propose solutions.
• Support technical and business discovery activities including workshops and demos across opportunities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on account strategy and identifying opportunities.
• Ensure success of PoC/Pilot projects through managing acceptance criteria and issue escalation.
• Develop and deliver engaging Couchbase presentations and demonstrations.
