Job summary

Gamma Recruitment is helping a confidential international hospitality group to recruit a Hotel General Manager for a property in Italy. You will own the hotel’s P&L, guest experience and team, reporting to the Head of Operations.

You will drive occupancy, ADR and RevPAR with the Revenue team, lead hiring, uphold service standards and maintain cost discipline. This role requires entrepreneurial, hands-on leadership and a track record in boutique or lifestyle hotels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hotel management, including at least 2 years as GM or Deputy GM.
• Proven experience managing P&L and achieving financial targets.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commercial mindset with revenue management and digital distribution.
• Multilingual or local language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run the hotel as your own business with full accountability for P&L, budget, and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Revenue to optimize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and ancillary revenue.
• Lead, hire and develop the team; foster a strong service culture.
• Maintain high service standards and monitor guest reviews and satisfaction.

About the company

We are an international hospitality group with a portfolio of hotels and serviced apartments in Europe that keeps growing. We are hiring a Hotel General Manager to take full ownership of one of our properties. This search is confidential.

The role

You will run the hotel as your own business. You will be responsible for the P&L, the guest experience and the team, and you will report to the Head of Operations.

What you'll do

• Take full responsibility for the hotel’s operations and financial results (P&L, budget, forecast)
• Work with the Revenue team to drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and ancillary revenue
• Lead, hire and develop the team across all departments, and build a strong service culture
• Keep the hotel’s service standards high and improve them; monitor guest reviews and satisfaction
• Oversee maintenance, suppliers and contractors, and keep costs under control
• Make sure the hotel complies with health and safety, legal and brand standards
• Build relationships with local partners, corporate clients and the community
• Report regularly to senior management, with clear KPIs and action plans

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in hotel management, with at least 2 years as GM, Hotel Manager or Deputy GM
