Job summary

Kerten Hospitality is seeking a Project & Operations Intern to support business development, proposals, and client engagement in Italy. Reporting to the Senior Director of Projects and Operations, you will help identify opportunities, prepare pitches, and foster relationships with key stakeholders.

You will contribute to strategic planning, feasibility studies, and market assessments while gaining exposure to hospitality operations and pre-opening activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Project Management, Operations, or related field.
• Strong organisational skills in a fast-moving environment.
• High attention to detail with checklists and trackers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; able to create reports, trackers, and presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.
• Basic understanding of hospitality operations and pre-opening activities.
• Willingness to travel for site-based activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support business development activities to identify new opportunities.
• Assist in proposals, pitches, and presentations; support negotiations and agreements.
• Identify high-value clients through market research and networking.
• Conduct feasibility studies and market assessments for expansion decisions.
• Monitor market trends and regional opportunities to inform strategy.
• Build relationships with hotel owners, investors, developers, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate on tailored business cases and bespoke presentations or speeches.
• Leverage databases and events to generate leads and drive growth.
• Support partnerships and expansion initiatives across assigned markets.
