Opdenergy is hiring a Grid Connection Engineer to support ongoing and future projects in Italy. The role focuses on managing the grid connection process, coordinating with grid operators, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

The candidate will draft connection applications, analyze technical outcomes, and collaborate with legal, permitting, and project management teams. Italian regulatory knowledge is essential.

Competenze

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in electrical connections for renewable energy plants.
• Proven experience in HV substations construction and grid works with E-distribuzione.
• Knowledge of the Italian Grid Connection Process (and TICA) and related regulations.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and project drawings.
• Proficient with electrical design software and Microsoft Office.
• Proactive, autonomous, and strong team-working attitude.
• Written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.

• Manage the grid connection process with grid operators.
• Draft and submit medium and high voltage grid connection applications.
• Analyze technical outcomes and verify feasibility.
• Support development, permitting, and project management teams.
• Estimate costs and schedule interconnection activities.
• Coordinate with designers and supervise grid connection works.
• Assist in tender processes for grid interconnection and evaluate bids.
• Support in preparing contracts to ensure works meet OPDENERGY requirements.
• Supervise engineering and construction activities related to grid connection; participate in commissioning.
• Perform site surveys and audits during construction.
