Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Tendering Support Engineer in Vignate to back the bid/proposal process for Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) projects and customized systems. The role collaborates with Tendering, Sales, and Engineering teams to translate customer requirements into robust technical proposals.

The position requires engineering education and experience in tendering/pre‑sales, with strong communication and document‑driven skills to deliver compliant proposals. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).
• Experience in technical support, tendering, pre‑sales, or engineering roles.
• Excellent communication to translate technical content into proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support throughout the tendering process for proposals, quotations, and pre‑sales activities.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to define the most appropriate technical solution and identify deviations, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Develop preliminary designs, sizing, system configurations, and BOMs to support bid preparation for ETO and customized systems.
• Create and/or contribute to technical documentation such as technical descriptions, solution overviews, and engineering clarifications.
• Work closely with internal engineering teams, product management, procurement, vendors and project management to gather inputs and validate solution feasibility.
• Estimate engineering hours to support the order execution and cost estimation.
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with applicable standards and customer specs.
• Identify technical risks, propose mitigation measures, and support internal tender reviews.
• Availability to travel up to 10% for customer meetings.
