Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Tendering Support Engineer in Italy. Based in Vignate, you will support bid phases with technical content, analyze customer requirements, and design solutions for engineer‑to‑order projects. You will prepare documentation and collaborate across engineering, sales and procurement.

The role requires strong communication, engineering fundamentals, and the ability to manage multiple bids with adherence to standards. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).
• Experience in technical support, tendering, pre‑sales, or engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical content into clear proposal documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with engineering tools (Autocad) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support through the tendering process for proposals and pre-sales content.
• Review customer specs to define the most suitable technical solution and identify deviations.
• Develop preliminary designs, sizing, configurations, and BOMs for ETO bids.
• Prepare technical documentation and solution overviews.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, procurement and PM to validate feasibility.
• Supply engineering data for cost estimation and design assumptions.
• Ensure proposals comply with standards and customer specs.
• Identify risks and suggest mitigations for tender reviews.
• Attend customer meetings when required (up to 10% travel).
