Job summary

Baker Hughes Inc. in Italy seeks an EE Regulations & Standards Quality Leader to drive the regulatory compliance and standards program across New Unit, OPEX, Upgrade, Repair, and Digital portfolios.

You will partner with Engineering, Quality, HSE, Sourcing and Operations to deploy governance processes, ensure lifecycle compliance, and lead a global team of project managers. You will guide regulatory strategy, oversee product certification, and ensure alignment with international standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Regulatory Compliance, Product Compliance, Quality Systems, or Standards Management.
• Experience leading compliance, certification, audit, and continuous improvement programs.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Strong knowledge of international regulations, standards, conformity assessment methodologies, and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the Regulations and Compliance Program, ensuring adherence to applicable country-specific regulatory requirements.
• Establish quality governance, compliance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Ensure product, project, and process compliance with applicable regulations, standards, certifications, and environmental requirements.
• Partner with Engineering teams to define and execute Product Compliance Specifications and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support NPD, ITO, and OTR activities by providing regulatory expertise and project compliance oversight.
• Manage environmental and substances regulatory compliance programs.
• Define global regulatory and market access strategies for complex international markets.
• Act as the technical authority for certification and compliance matters across EE and GTS.
• Coordinate certification activities with external agencies and certification bodies.
• Lead internal compliance audits, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification activities.
• Ensure Early Warnings, compliance risks, and non-conformances are identified, tracked, and effectively resolved.
• Develop and monitor KPI dashboards to measure compliance performance and program effectiveness.
• Lead supplier compliance loop-back programs, reducing certification gaps to improve ITO competitiveness and minimize OTR certification-related costs and risks.
• Drive annual compliance planning and ensure adequate budget allocation for regulatory and certification activities.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to build organizational awareness and capability.
• Communicate compliance status, risks, and strategic priorities to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a global team of Regulations & Standards Project Managers.
