Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Control System Test Bench Leader to oversee testing of assigned string packages in an industrial setting in Italy. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time execution while coordinating mechanical and electrical testing activities and supplier work.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field, strong English and Italian communication, and ability to manage multiple projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Solid understanding of turbomachinery system architecture, control systems, commissioning processes, and related operations.
• Fluency in both English and Italian.

Responsibilities

• Drive string test operations in alignment with production planning.
• Supervise activities performed by external suppliers including assembly, loop checks, electrical wiring, software calibration, and other electrical work.
• Provide technical guidance for non-conformity resolution with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Prepare and maintain operational quality and safety documentation, including reports and checklists.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and foster a safe working environment for field and test bench activities.
• Monitor expenditures against project budgets and implement cost-optimizing actions.
• Capture and apply lessons learned during operations.
• Support effective communication among internal teams and external partners to ensure successful test execution and delivery.
