Job summary
Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Global Product Manager to lead the strategy and vision for the control and automation product line within the Power Conversion Solutions portfolio.
You will shape the roadmap, lifecycle, and business cases across domains like energy storage, renewable integration, and grid-code compliant OT practices. Qualifications
- MSc or BSc in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years hands-on experience with power conversion systems, electrical grid automation, and solution development in renewable energy or battery energy storage.
- Strong knowledge of power systems (LV/MV/HV), switchgear, and generation equipment; familiarity with grid codes and OT cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the global product roadmap for the control and automation product line within PCS.
- Identify market growth opportunities by defining market requirements for various customer segments.
- Build business cases for new product developments and enhancements; align with market trends and customer needs.
- Translate market and customer requirements into clear specifications for R&D, leveraging technical knowledge in control and automation.
- Ensure product solutions comply with international grid codes, cybersecurity standards, and OT practices.
- Act as a thought leader; represent the company in technical forums and customer meetings; drive solution requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with internal units and travel internationally ~20%.
