Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Global Product Manager to lead the strategy and vision for the control and automation product line within the Power Conversion Solutions portfolio.

You will shape the roadmap, manage lifecycle, and build business cases across energy storage and renewable integration domains, ensuring grid code and OT cybersecurity compliance. You will engage with internal units and customers worldwide, travel ~20% of the time, and articulate complex requirements to R&D teams.

Qualifications

• MSc/BSc in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with deep understanding for Power conversion systems, electrical grid automation and solution development in renewable energy or battery energy storage.
• Knowledge of power systems, LV, MV and HV equipment, switchgears, generation equipment; understanding grid code compliance and OT cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the global product roadmap for the control and automation product line within PCS portfolio.
• Identify market growth opportunities and define market requirements for various customer segments.
• Build business cases for new product developments and enhancements in line with market trends and customer needs.
• Translate market and customer requirements into actionable specifications for R&D with strong technical depth.
• Ensure compliance with international grid codes, cybersecurity requirements, and OT standards.
• Represent the company in technical forums and customer meetings to drive solution requirements.
• Collaborate across global teams and communicate with stakeholders from diverse technical backgrounds.
• Uphold safety and integrity as core values in all actions.
