Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Global Product Manager to lead the strategy and vision of the control and automation product line within the Power Conversion Solutions portfolio.

You will define the roadmap, manage the lifecycle and build business cases to drive growth across energy storage, renewables, and related technologies. You will translate market needs into actionable specs for R&D, ensure grid code compliance and OT cybersecurity, and collaborate with global teams while travelling

Qualifications

• MSc/BSc in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with power conversion systems, grid automation and solution development in renewables or energy storage.
• Knowledge of power systems, LV/MV/HV equipment, switchgears and generation equipment.
• Strong understanding of control systems, plant automation, grid code compliance, and OT cybersecurity.
• Proven ability to develop product strategies, roadmaps and business cases.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~20%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the global product roadmap for the control and automation line in the PCS portfolio.
• Identify market growth opportunities and define market requirements for different customer segments.
• Translate market and customer requirements into actionable specifications for R&D.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, cybersecurity standards and OT best practices.
• Represent the company in technical forums and customer meetings; drive development of solution requirements.
• Collaborate with internal units and development teams across regions.
