Job summary

Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. seeks a Global Product Manager to lead the strategy and vision of the control and automation product line within the PCS portfolio.

You will define and maintain the product roadmap, manage lifecycle, and build compelling business cases to drive growth in energy storage and renewable integration domains. You will translate complex market needs into actionable specs for R&D, ensuring compliance with grid codes, cybersecurity, and OT standards while collaborating with

Qualifications

• MSc/BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in power conversion systems and grid automation.
• Knowledge of LV/MV/HV equipment, switchgears, and generation equipment.
• Understanding of power system simulation models and grid code compliance.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, plant automation, OT cybersecurity.
• Experience developing product strategies and roadmaps.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; travel internationally (~20%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the global product roadmap for control and automation in PCS portfolio.
• Identify market growth opportunities and define market requirements for different customer segments.
• Build business cases for new product developments and enhancements.
• Translate market requirements into specifications for R&D.
• Ensure product solutions comply with grid codes, cybersecurity, and OT standards.
• Represent the company in technical forums and customer meetings.
• Collaborate with global teams and travel as needed.
