Job summary

EFI is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Reggiani Service Team in the Bergamo area, Italy. The role focuses on on-site technical support for inkjet and traditional textile printers, with extensive travel across Europe to customer sites.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree in mechatronics or related field, be fluent in English, and possess strong problem-solving and calibration skills, with willingness to travel 6–8 months per year.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in Mechatronics (mechanical and electrical) or related field.
• Knowledge of textile printing products and chemical processes is advantageous.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong interest in computer technology and machine calibration.
• Knowledge of basic electronic skills.
• Experience in commissioning industrial machinery is advantageous.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Windows operating systems is required.
• Strong communication skills, customer focus, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including abroad for 2–4 weeks at a time, 6–8 months per year.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively throughout Europe and to customer sites.
• Provide end-to-end technical support to our global customer base.
• Offer on-site technical support for inkjet and traditional textile printers.
• Support trade shows and exhibitions with machine setup, calibration, and tear-down.
• Deliver end-user training at operator level.
• Provide technical feedback to Italian R&D and Service teams.
