Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer to execute service work across installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. You will identify technical problems via on-site or remote activity, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards.

You will travel extensively (over 80%) within Italy, collaborating with customers to understand their needs, coordinating materials, and preparing necessary service documentation.

Qualifications

• HV onsite experience is required.
• Ability to travel extensively in Italy (more than 80%).
• Strong communication skills in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks across installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and retrofits.
• Coordinate material, parts and equipment availability for service activities.
• Prepare documents and reports for customer sign-off.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and recommend durable fixes.
• Apply safety rules and environmental responsibilities in all activities.

The opportunityWe are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer who will focus on executing Service work according to agreed work flows and in accordance with Hitachi Energy standard processes and safety guidelines.

How you’ll make an impact

Perform Service tasks, identify technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activity in any Service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.); Contribute to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation; Create and maintain a good relationship with customers and understands their needs; Coordinate, prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities; -Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative; Troubleshoot equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future; Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities, report unsafe practices and incidents.

Your background

• Electrotechnical diploma
• Previous working onsite experience with HV equipment
• Goodknowledge of Italian and English
• Ability to work in team and meet deadlines

Willingness to travel in Italy (> 80%), mainly in Sicilia, Calabria, Puglia and Campania.

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

Starting from: 38000€ gross

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
